Meet the Chefs
Chef Mattei got his start at age fourteen, also as a kitchen apprentice, in his native home of Bergamo, in the Lombardia region of Italy. He then moved on to work as a chef with Bice Group, at the Sagamore Hotel on Miami Beach and as a private chef. Both chefs hold degrees in Hotel & Restaurant Management.
Now – these three culinary talents combine their unique energy, skill, creativity, dedication and infectious charm to the delight of South Florida… with Il Bolognese. It is their sincere wish that all who dine here will share in an experience that thrills the palate and warms the soul.
